The Wrong Output Type Can Spoil Your Day

When submitting post-production jobs via the Post online order form, there’s one decision you don’t want to overlook: Primary Output.

Primary Output Drop-down Menu

There are a number of ways we can return edits to you, and we want to make sure you get the one that works best for your workflow.

If you don’t use Lightroom, for example, it’s not going to do you any good if we return a Lightroom catalog. And if you’re not comfortable with the RAW+XMP workflow, you may want to stick with JPG output.

The order form always displays your current output options (they change based on the type of files you send), so take a moment to consider which works best for you for each job. If you’re not sure, feel free to contact us and we can make a suggestion.

Quick-Tip: For each input file type, we offer a free, default output. If you want something other than the default, a conversion fee may apply. Again, the order form conveniently displays your options and any associated costs. Quick-Tip: Note that certain services may also affect the output. For example, black & white copies – as well as most enhancement services – must be returned as JPGs. For this reason, you may receive back a combination of file types.
