Notice: Mac OS update affecting PWD ROES

This notice is for Mac users encountering difficulties with launching PWD ROES. It appears the recent OS X 10.5.7 Java update has changed things around enough to cause some issues with ROES. Here’s how to fix the issue:
  1. Open Finder and navigate to your local hard drive.
  2. Go to System -> Library -> CoreServices.
  3. Look for “Java Web Start.app” and copy it to the clipboard.
  4. Now navigate to Applications -> Utilities and paste the file into this folder.
  5. Click here and download PWD ROES.
  6. PWD ROES will download and install.  Click OK on any warning prompts.
  7. PWD ROES should open.

Next, create a new shortcut to PWD ROES:

Core 2 Duo Systems:

  1. Open “Java Preferences.app” from the same Utilities folder.
  2. Click the Network tab.
  3. Click “View Cache” in the lower right.
  4. Use the menu or icon to create a desktop shortcut.

Core Duo and Non-Intel Macs: Unfortunately, shortcuts don’t seem to be working on these systems.  To launch PWD ROES, please do so from the PWD website.

If you continue to experience problems, please contact us directly.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
