PWD ROES Tip: Neatly Arranged ROES

There are a number of ways to get around PWD ROES and setup its various windows, but we at PWD recommend one particular setup that will place everything within easy reach.  Here it is:

As you can see above, we like a big, main window with our Sizes and Options palettes easily accessible but out of the way.  The central (vertical) divider bar in the main window can be dragged left or right depending on whether you want to see more images in your folder or you want more room to setup a product template.

If the Sizes and Options palettes are new to you, you’ve probably been accessing all our catalogs, products, and options via the Sizes and Options buttons located in the main window.  That certainly works, but we think it’s easier to keep them open as windows for easier, quicker navigation.  If they’re not currently open on your screen, you can get at the palettes by clicking on the Sizes and Options buttons and then choosing to show the palette.

Do you have a better PWD ROES setup?  Let us know by leaving a comment below.

[UPDATED] Family Portrait Event for Victims of the Atlanta Floods

[UPDATE 10/28] In addition to her blog, Katrina has recently created a website and a Facebook page to help spread the word about this event.

The recent Atlanta-area floods provided quite a spectacle.  Those of us in Atlanta and around the nation watched in shock and amazement as the waters rose and the damage increased.  To those who lost lives or property in the storm, however, the water quickly rose to tragic levels.  Many families lost everything in the floods — cars, furniture, family heirlooms, photographs and more, — but one Atlanta area photographer has decided to help give back in the best way she can.

Katrina Wheeler of Katrina Wheeler Photography has put together and coordinated a Flood Portrait event to help flood victims begin re-building their destroyed collection of family photos, and PWD Labs is proud to sponsor the event by donating our printing services.

If you know someone who would benefit from this event, please pass on the following information.  If you are a photographer wishing to donate your time for those in need, you can contact Katrina Wheeler to find out how you can help.  Below is a card Katrina put together to hand out to the families.  For more info on this event, please visit Katrina Wheeler’s blog.

PWD Drop Box for Local Photographers

PWD Labs now has a drop box!  Atlanta area photographers can now drop off orders at the PWD offices after hours.  With the addition of our new drop box, we’ve added one more level of convenience for those of you who simply couldn’t make it by during the day.

When dropping off an order, please make sure you include a PWD order form with each order.  This will ensure we have all the information needed to get your orders out quickly and correctly.
